Performances: All children are double cast and will perform approximately five to six times per week, including several weekday mornings matinees
Salary: All children will be paid $15.00 per hour, regardless of role

Submissions: Please e-mail one (1) photo of your child and a one (1) page info sheet that MUST include: current height, weight, date of birth, parent/guardian names, home address, phone number and e-mail address to: casting@TheOldGlobe.org.
If you are unable to attend any of the audition dates, please let us know in your submission. We can give you instructions on how to submit a video audition.

Eligibility: All auditioning must be residents within San Diego County. Children cannot be members of Actors’ Equity. In order to be considered for the role of Cindy-Lou, your child must be between 6-10 years old, no taller than 50” and weigh no more than 55 lbs. In order to be considered for Who Family and Child Ensemble, your child must be between ages 6-12, no taller than 60” and weigh no more than 100lbs. In order to be considered for Teen Ensemble, your child must be between ages 13-15, no taller than 65” and weigh no more than 125lbs.These terms are non-negotiable.

Audition Info: Once we’ve determined that your child meets all the criteria, and there is space available, you will be contacted via e-mail (starting mid-June) with audition details. Please remember to include a valid e-mail address with your submission. The deadline to submit is Tuesday, June 28, 2022.

COVID Safety: Per guidance from Actors Equity Association, the Old Globe will require all eligible individuals within the Production Group to be fully vaccinated to participate in How the Grinch Stole Christmas!. The Production Group is defined as: All actors, creative team members, and crew who interact with the Production Group within Globe spaces. For those who are not eligible or whom have a medical or religious exemption: these individuals must adhere to weekly PCR testing and all mitigation measures, including masking, that are advised at the time of rehearsal/production. Please note that for these auditions we are requiring all actors attending to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. The door monitor will be checking vaccination status, so please provide your vaccination card, or a photograph of your card. You may also submit a photo of your vaccination card with your request for an audition.

Special Note: The rehearsal and performance schedule requires that your child miss time from school (amount of time varies according to the role), however, most rehearsals do not interfere with class schedules. We will have a studio teacher present to help children keep up with class work, but please only submit your child for an audition if you and your child’s school are amenable to absences during rehearsals and performances.
