On the opening night of the 2002 Season, The Old Globe unveiled the Lipinsky Family Suite, an intimate bar and lounge available to Circle Patron donors before each evening's performance and during intermission.

The Lipinsky Family Suite pays tribute to two of The Old Globe's longstanding friends, Dr. Bernard and Dorris Lipinsky, and their family. During their lifetimes, Bernard and Dorris were among the Globe's most generous supporters, underwriting many special programs and consistently choosing to be Season Sponsors since 1995. Today, their family continues this generous tradition of support, and we are honored to recognize their involvement through the dedication of this special donors' suite.

Now hundreds strong, our Circle Patron donors make a commitment to support The Old Globe not only through ticket purchases, but also with their philanthropic support at the $3,000 level or greater each year. Collectively, our Circle Patrons provide half of The Old Globe's annual contributed income, and the Lipinsky Family Suite is just one way we are able to thank these generous donors. As with all levels of giving, Circle Patron donors help The Old Globe produce each and every play you see on stage, as well as provide the critical underwriting to maintain our many education programs that have become a staple of the Theatre's work in the community.
