Carpenters

The Old Globe seeks skilled carpenters for scenic construction for spring and summer positions. Positions are available April 2 – May 26, and July 1 – September 6, 2013. The Old Globe is a LORT B theatre with three stages, producing 15 productions annually including musicals and a Shakespeare Festival. Prior experience in a regional or professional scene shop is essential. Applicants must be able to demonstrate high-quality wood and metal construction skills; and be proficient in a wide range of scenic construction techniques. The Scene Shop is a 14,000-square foot construction facility equipped with a CNC router table and full range of metal and woodworking machinery. House Manager

The Old Globe seeks a House Manager for San Diego’s premier regional theatre. Hours are part-time, May 28-September 29, Tues-Fri evenings, with occasional Monday night events; 6 shows and 25-30 +/- hours per week during production. Previous House Management/Front of House experience preferred but not required. Previous customer service experience dealing with the public required. Must have excellent people skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to think and act under pressure. $11.00 per hour. Security Guards and Parking Lot Attendants – Summer

The Old Globe seeks Security Guards and Parking Lot Attendants for the summer season to greet, escort and assist patrons and employees, and to provide assistance to the on-duty Security Officers. Requires excellent customer service skills and a driver's license with a clean driving record. $9.50/hour plus ticket privileges. Shirt, rain gear, portable radio and flashlight provided. Subscription Sales Representatives

The Old Globe Theatre is accepting applications from experienced Sales Callers with positive attitudes for future openings for outbound subscription sales calls, though there are currently no openings. Love of the arts a plus. Hourly base plus commission, nightly cash bonuses, and comp tickets. Sunday through Thursday evenings, 5:30 p.m. - 9 p.m. and Saturday mornings, 9:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Minimum five shifts per week required. On-site in beautiful Balboa Park. Ticket Services Representatives

If you like people and you like theatre you'll love our Ticket Services opportunities! The Old Globe seeks ticket representatives with positive customer service experience and strong telephone and computer skills who are available to work 16-30 hrs/wk; Office hours are 11:30 a.m. - 8:15 p.m., daily. Must be available nights and weekends. Work in beautiful Balboa Park for San Diego's most celebrated professional theatre! Pay is $10.50/hour with a $9.50/hour training wage to start plus ticket privileges.
