Public Relations Director
The Old Globe seeks a Public Relations Director to develop, direct and implement all public relations activities for The Old Globe including writing press releases; arranging public relations events; overseeing program creation; contributing website content; and cultivating media relations both locally and nationally. The Old Globe is a three-theatre, year-round LORT theatre company producing 15 productions annually (over 600 performances). Candidates must have 3-5 years as a manager of a PR department for a major arts organization or equivalent agency experience. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Photography and Photoshop, videography and video editing (Final Cut Pro, I-Movie) abilities a plus. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends. Full-time position with competitive salary and benefits package offered.

The Old Globe in Balboa Park seeks a Facilities Manager to be responsible for the maintenance and management of all facilities including 250,000 sq. ft. live performance theatre complex with 3 stages, event hall, administration building, rehearsal building, 22 unit apartment complex, technical center and storage warehouse, and pub. This position supervises a staff of 12 employees.
Three to five years of experience in staff management, budgeting, maintenance, facilities operations, purchasing and project management required. Non-profit and/or performance venue experience a plus. Candidate must be hands-on, detail-oriented, a strong communicator and planner, able to work evenings and weekends when required, and have ability to lift 50 pounds as needed. Must have ability to read and write English; Spanish speaking is a plus. Must have valid CA Driver License.

The Old Globe seeks experienced electricians for over-hire work throughout the year. Non-union over-hire electricians work on an as-needed basis for load-ins, techs, and strikes. The Old Globe is a LORT B theatre with three stages, producing 15 productions annually including musicals and a Shakespeare Festival. Prior experience as a stage electrician with an understanding of modern lighting fixture installation, use, and troubleshooting needs are essential. Applicants should possess interpersonal skills and enjoy working in small groups under the supervision of IATSE Master Electricians. Flexible hours to accommodate work during the day, weekends, evenings, and overtime is preferred. A minimum of two years' experience as a lighting technician is strongly preferred. The Old Globe in San Diego seeks a skilled Properties Artisan for a full-time, benefited position. The Old Globe is LORT B theatre with three stages, producing 15 productions annually including Broadway-bound musicals, Shakespeare plays and new works. Ideal candidate will be an experienced finish carpenter and artisan with welding, softgoods, and painting skills. Prior experience in a regional or professional prop shop is essential. Pub Shift Supervisor
The Old Globe seeks a part-time shift supervisor to work with and supervise cashiering, prepping and bar staff. Will work approximately 20-25 hours per week during productions. Must be available to work Saturdays AND Sundays and throughout the upcoming holiday season. Must have cash-handling experience, good computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Excel. Previous supervisory experience in food/beverage preferred; bartending experience a plus. $10.00 per hour plus ticket privileges. The Old Globe in Balboa Park is seeking applicants for Security Supervisor. Overseeing the full-time and part-time Security Officers, Security Guards and Parking Lot Attendants, the Security Supervisor maintains the safety of patrons and the security of the company's facilities through planning, scheduling, training and supervising staff as well as working shifts as a Security Officer. Candidates must have five years security experience; a minimum of two years supervisory experience; a driver's license with a clean driving record; minimum 2 year degree; valid CA guard card; and strong supervisory, interpersonal, communication, organizational, and computer skills. The Old Globe Theatre is accepting applications from experienced Sales Callers with positive attitudes for current openings for outbound subscription sales calls. Love of the arts a plus. Hourly base plus commission, nightly cash bonuses, and comp tickets. Lead Ticket Services Representative
The Old Globe seeks a detail-oriented individual for the position of Lead Ticket Services Representative. Duties include processing ticket orders, running reports, overseeing special projects, handling customer relations and other administrative duties.
